Participate in industry research

MLA’s Producer Investment Call is designed to fund the research, development and adoption activities that address producer priorities using levies from grassfed beef and sheepmeat. These priorities are identified by producers through the regional committees and are consolidated by NABRC, SALRC and WALRC. MLA uses these priorities to form the Terms of Reference for the project call. The Project Call seeks the submission of proposals for research, development and adoption projects that are aligned with the Terms of Reference for funding consideration.

MLA supports the bridge from education to agricultural research through its postgraduate program, postdoctoral program and various scholarships.

MLA offers a range of funding opportunities for red meat producers interested in participating in initiatives and events that accelerate the adoption of R&D outputs and promote sustainability and productivity in the on-farm sector.

MLA delivers the practical results of its R&D investments by providing producers with education, training and opportunities to change on-farm practice. MLA supports extension and training opportunities with practical information, tools and calculators to assist producer decision making, with the aim of achieving long-term productive and profitable businesses. Extension and training opportunities are available for all red meat enterprises, helping producers put research findings into practice.
