Summary
This Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) Supported Learning Package (SLP), “Grass to Dollars” was distributed to five groups of red meat producers in South Australia, totalling 40 producers. The SLP is in aligned with the feedbase curriculum and was be delivered within twelve months.
Objectives
Delivery of MLA’s Off the Shelf Profitable Grazing Systems Supported Learning Package (SLP) ‘Grass to Dollars’ to five groups across South Australia. The group locations will be Kangaroo Island, Strathalbyn, Fleurieu Peninsula, Mid-limestone Coast and Lower-Limestone Coast.
The SLP will focus on the feedbase curriculum.
Delivery is to commence in May 2022 and conclude within 18 months.
All M&E Data including:
* Participant registration forms
* Pre KASA (completed forms, with questions marked correct/incorrect)
* Post KASA (completed forms, with questions marked correct/incorrect)
* Two producer suggestions per group for case study follow up
* Post –Course Participant Feedback, and
* Any other relevant feedback required at the end of project.
Key findings
Due to PGS being an adoption program which does not conduct research, no key findings were found.
Benefits to industry
The recent Producer Adoption Impact Assessment demonstrated on average, producers that participate in PGS can expect an additional net benefit of $18/ha annually. This was the first delivery of Grass to Dollars and is a positive step towards increasing southern producer engagement in Adoption programs.

Due to PGS being an adoption program which does not conduct research, no future research is required.
