Summary

Opportunities exist to support existing and new businesses penetrate and grow their footprint in the region. MLA participated in tradeshows (FHA, FHI) and conducted seminars to connect trade and provide up-to-date information on the market situation and channel opportunities.


The outcome of the trade show promotions included 23 exporters exhibiting in FHA 2022, with >75% stakeholder satisfaction in trade events, forums and collaborative activities. High level of trade and distributor participation at MLA activities such as retail promotions, cooking and butchery competitions, and Great Steak Escape also occurred.

Objectives

This project covers the reporting period of 2020 – 2025 and addresses
the following International Markets priorities for the Indonesia region:

  • Priority 1: Increase the ‘physical availability’ of Australian beef,
    lamb and goatmeat products.
  • Priority 2: Develop ‘educated ambassadors’ (staff, customers, media and influencers).
  • Priority 3: Cultivate commercial investment to grow overall sales and
    marketing presence for Australian red meat.
