Summary
The quarterly Goats on the Move e-newsletter is a central communications platform to drive adoption of MLA products and best practice strategies for the goat industry.
Objectives
The quarterly Goats on the Move e-newsletter will contain brief articles and interviews to update goat stakeholders on current and completed goat R&D projects; promote adoption of technologies and goat management strategies; goat producer case studies; provide relevant goat marketing updates; and inform stakeholders of upcoming MLA and MLA-GICA goat events.
Key findings
In its final publication, the Goats on the Move e-newsletter had:
- more than 7,000 subscribers who received the e-newsletter
- an open rate (38%) above industry average for e-newsletter communications
- a click through rate (5%) above the industry average of 2.89%.
Benefits to industry
Producers and industry stakeholders can benefit from a curated industry e-newsletter to drive adoption of MLA products, best practice strategies for industry and provide important industry updates.
MLA action
MLA have continued to fund a second iteration of the Quarterly Goats on the Move e-newsletter for additional three (3) years under B.GOA.2501.
