Summary
This project engaged with processors, livestock agents, livestock advisors and saleyards to support use of the eNVD platform and support businesses to implement plans to shift to using digital consignments.
Objectives
To engage with red meat supply chain members and support them to transition their business to using digital consignments using the new electronic National Vendor Declaration platform.
Key findings

- Engagement with supply chain stakeholders identified important technical, regulatory and systems barriers to adoption. Technical barriers with the eNVD platform were addressed is subsequent eNVD platform upgrades.
- Targeted resources were developed to support processors, livestock agents, advisors and saleyard staff to implement the transition to eNVD.
Benefits to industry
The benefits to industry of this project were:
• Improved understanding of specific technical, cultural, capability and adoption needs of meat processors, saleyards and agents to implement eNVD.
• A greater understanding of the support requirements needed to facilitate eNVD uptake.
• Increased industry awareness and motivation to promote the eNVD platform and greater awareness of industry intention to shift to digital eNVDs.
MLA action
ISC has used the project's learnings to continue to refine the eNVD platform and our approach to engaging and supporting supply chain businesses.
