Summary

This project will facilitate a formal consultation process with industry and government stakeholders on the revised NLIS Database Rules. The Consultant will establish a process for capturing and assessing feedback from stakeholders on the NLIS Database Rules and will incorporate updates to the NLIS Database Rules based on feedback received from stakeholders, in consultation with ISC.

Objectives

Establish a process for consultation with industry and government stakeholders on the NLIS Database Rules and develop a presentation to support initial engagement with stakeholders on the key changes to the NLIS Database Rules.
• Coordinate and deliver a presentation to government stakeholders on the revised approach to the NLIS Database Rules.
• Review and consider feedback provided by government stakeholders during the comment period and engage with contributors and ISC on comments provided as required.
• Incorporate updates to the NLIS Database Rules based on feedback provided by government stakeholders.
• Coordinate and deliver a presentation to industry stakeholders on the revised approach to the NLIS Database Rules.
• Review and consider feedback provided by industry stakeholders and engage with contributors and ISC on comments provided as required.

Key findings

This project was successful in completing a formal consultation process with industry and government stakeholders on the revised NLIS Database Rules.

Benefits to industry

This project will ensure that the NLIS Database Terms of Use are streamlined and aligned with best practice principles, while making sure they remain fit for purpose and support the future strategic needs of the integrity system in alignment with the Integrity System 2025 Strategic Plan.

MLA action

A formal consultation process with industry and government stakeholders on the revised NLIS Database Rules may be required to be conducted in the future to ensure the rules continue to meet stakeholder expectations and requirements.
