Summary

The Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) program services approximately 190,000 red meat producers enabling them to manage their accreditation. This project seeks to support the continuous development and improvement of the LPA database, covering areas such as cloud based hosting, new functionality and maintenance.

Objectives

The objectives of this project include:
- LPA database hosting
- LPA database projects
- LPA database maintenance
- maintenance of LPA and LPA QA program domain names
- resolution of emergency requests.

Key findings

This project allowed for a variety of production and maintenance tasks to take place that ensured greater access and function of the LPA program.

Benefits to industry

Increased uptake of the online platform to use for auditing and compliance, leading to increased use of data within the supply chain.

MLA action

Conduct research into the review and redesign of the LPA platform.

Future research

Future research will include an investigation into optimising the audit process based on humancentred design principles. The goal of this is to make the LPA program easier to use and more consistent with ISC's other products and services.
