Summary

With contribution from the Australia Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Grant (AVEG), MLA in Vietnam would undertake a trade education and trade facilitation project that would contribute to an expanded red meat and livestock trade and investment.


Building on existing MLA business development activities in Vietnam, the project aims to develop and deliver a more comprehensive red meat trade education program ‘Aussie Meat Academy' (AMA) in Vietnam and facilitate stronger trade linkages and network through participation in key trade events.

Project activities would include delivering AMA activities to at least 20 Vietnamese businesses, MLA participation in Vietnam tradeshow, facilitating Vietnamese delegation to Australia (e.g. Beef Australia or similar), all with the aim of fostering enhanced knowledge of and confidence in Australian red meat credentials.

Objectives

This is a trade education and trade facilitation project that
would contribute to an expanded red meat & livestock
trade and investment.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive red meat trade
education program ‘Aussie Meat Academy in Vietnam.
AMA would be developed by Australian red meat experts
in consultation with red meat industry.
- AMA would be conducted throughout the year, targeting
Vietnam businesses that are buying/intending to trade
Australian beef and lamb.
- Establishment of Women in Beef Network Vietnam.
- Facilitate stronger trade linkages by exhibiting in Food
& Hotel Vietnam tradeshow and participation in Beef
Australia.
