Summary
- Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) is an MLA producer adoption program, which drives measurable, improved business performance outcomes for participating red meat producers.
- The supported learning package, Business Essentials, is an MLA owned off the shelf package designed to provide participants with the necessary financial skills to meet the compliance demands in running a livestock enterprise.

- ‘Business Essentials’ to a group of producers in the Hay/Balranald area of NSW.
- The SLP will focus on the business curriculum. This training package provides producers with the necessary financial skills to meet the compliance demands in running a livestock enterprise.

Due to the nature of the PGS program, there are no key findings.
Benefits to industry
Profitable Grazing Systems has gathered significant momentum over the past few years with over 1200 producers engaged across over 80 groups in the programs lifetime. There is $2–20/ha of additional financial net benefit annually for participating southern producers. Specifically, a net benefit of $5.13/ha for producers participating in southern business groups.
