Summary

This project will design and deliver the ‘Stand by what you sell’ workshop including resource development, train the trainer and delivery at a series of pilot events. This activity is a flagship initiative for ISC. The ‘stand by what you sell’ workshop will be a flexible program that can be tailored for region, program, length of time and delivery partner.

Objectives

This project will design and deliver the ‘Stand by what you sell’ workshop over three phases; resource development, train the trainer and delivery of a series of pilot events. This activity is a flagship initiative for ISC. The ‘stand by what you sell’ workshop will be a flexible program that can be tailored for region, program, and length of time and delivery partner.

The project will support ISC in delivering against its KPIs to raise integrity program awareness levels (increase to 84% for 2017/18 and 90% by June 2020), and to drive improved producer compliance with program requirements.

The consultant, as directed by ISC through a detailed work plan supported by proactive monitoring and regular reporting, will prepare the ‘Stand by what you sell’ workshop over three stages (resource development, training and delivery) – a flagship activity to support the Integrity Systems Company in its messaging to all target audiences about ISC, the red meat integrity system, the integrity programs (NLIS, eNVD, LPA and LDL) and other related company activities.

Development and delivery of the ‘Stand by what you sell’ workshop will be aligned with the ISC Communication, Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption strategy objectives:

Awareness: To increase the profile and awareness of Australia’s red meat integrity system, the integrity programs (NLIS, LPA and NVD) and the Integrity Systems Company

Understanding: To increase the proportion of producers who understand the role of the ISC and the integrity systems, including innovative developments in programs.

Value (industry and on-farm): To increase the proportion of producers who can outline and advocate the value of the red meat integrity system and the role of ISC to their business profitability and industry future. More producers see ISC as providing high quality, innovative systems that support the industry.

Adoption: To increase the proportion of producers who implement the requirements of the integrity system and programs on-farm, including the use of innovative technologies (e.g. digital programs), to maximise benefits for their business and industry.

Compliance: To increase compliance with the integrity system program requirements.

The key objective of the project is the development of a ‘Stand by what you sell’ workshop, encompassing:
a. Development of project plan
b. Development of workshop materials and resources
c. Train the trainer program (20 participants)
d. Pilot delivery of workshop (6 x full day workshops, 6 x ½ day workshops and 6 partner workshops) on a range of topics

Final report to include a comprehensive evaluation of all project elements including ‘trainer’ and ‘workshop participant’ feedback to inform recommendations for program improvements and a fully costed implementation plan for full-scale roll-out of the program.

Benefits to industry

The impact of this investment will be seen through greater awareness and understanding amongst all target audiences of the ISC, the integrity systems and the integrity programs (NLIS, LPA, eNVD and LDL). This is a key activity outlined in the Integrity System Communication, Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption Strategy and will contribute significantly to strategy objectives of awareness, understanding, value, adoption and compliance. The corporate communication and PR activities will be regularly evaluated to ensure maximum reach and impact and the overall investment will align with the ISC MER framework.
