Summary

This project is to substantially increase the uptake of SSO across the industry by making it easy to implement and ensure that the systems are not tightly coupled. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing MyMLA SSO solution with a system that is easy to integrate with and to maintain.

Objectives

  1. Implementation of SSO using off-the-shelf, up-to-date technology, that is easily
    maintainable.
  2. Drive growth of SSO uptake we plan to work with the four major programs; NLIS, LPA, MSA
and LDL to improve their login screens, encouraging customers to input their SSO details.
Over time SSO will become the primary login source and custom logins will be gradually
phased out. For example, if a user logs in via a custom login, the user would be prompted to
sign up with SSO until they choose not to use SSO.
  3. Develop an API layer that allows communication between the subsystems with functions
such as 'Create Account' and 'Link Account' between the systems. For example, if a user has
a NLIS account and wanted to create a LPA account, they could automatically transfer all the
NLIS details into a new LPA profile with the click of a button.
