Summary

This project supported the capability building of other industry stakeholders through facilitating an Analytics for Industry workshop. Along with the workshop the consultant supports the MSA program through independent statistical evaluation of the MSA program and research outcomes as identified.

The development of applications to facilitate stakeholders being able to utilise MSA data to make business decisions is also completed under this project.

Objectives

  • To deliver statistical training, through open courses, to industry operatives to develop the data analysis skills of the meat processing and pastoral industries.
  • Work with the MSA team, as required, to provide statistical expertise for MSA producer awards, Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights report, Business development tools to support supply chain analytics, as well as any other analytical queries for MSA data.

Benefits to industry

The consultant facilitates the upskilling of industry personnel in data analytics as well as supporting the further development of the MSA program with analysis of new research outcomes and other data opportunities.

MLA action

The consultant will be contracted for future statistical analysis and MSA program support as required.
