Summary

The purpose of this consultancy agreement was to provide continued statistical analysis support for the development of the MSA sheepmeat cuts-based model.

Objectives

The consultant supported the MSA eating quality program as follows:
1. Statistical development of the MSA cuts based eating quality prediction to include new cut x cooks including model based on 2017 dataset.
2. Statistical development of the MSA cuts based eating quality prediction to include new cut x cooks based on combined 2017/2018 dataset.
3. Statistical development of the MSA cuts based eating quality prediction to include new cut x cooks based on the 2020/21 dataset.
4. General support to the MSA team in relation to the sheepmeat model as directed.

Benefits to industry

The expertise provided by the consultant is extremely valuable to the industry to facilitate development of Australia’s MSA sheepmeat model statistical support and analysis.
