Summary

The purpose of this project was to support Australian independent representation on the Scientific Reference Group of the International Meat Research 3G Foundation for 2019/20.

The International Meat Research 3G Foundation is a collaborative, independent, not-for-profit international eating quality research platform. It aims to improve consumer satisfaction of meat products through fostering the application of global collaborative meat research knowledge throughout supply chains. The Foundation Council oversees strategy, investments, priorities and implementation of recommendations from the Scientific Reference Group (SRG), which resides within the Foundation.

Objectives

This project covered a consultant to support the International 3G Foundation through:

  • foundation Council meeting participation, as Chair of the Scientific Reference Group
  • contribution to Foundation strategy development and deployment
  • chair meetings of the Scientific Reference Group as required 
  • particpate in the UNECE Eating Quality forum
  • lead the sub-group of the Scientific Reference Group in the development of data systems infrastructure to house eating quality research data.
