Summary

By undertaking industry consultation and a discovery process, this project identified which data opportunities across the red meat supply chain offer the highest impact in the focus areas of integrity, biosecurity and compliance both for the domestic supply chains and international market access.

Objectives

This project aimed to identify which data opportunities across the red meat supply chain offer the highest impact in the focus areas of integrity, biosecurity, and compliance. A 12-week discovery sprint was undertaken to work with industry stakeholders which informed the findings.

Key findings

key problem areas which data may be able to provide solutions for. It was determined that the opportunity area of undertaking risk profiling as a part of LPA was most likely to bring new found benefit to the industry, and support greater compliance to the program.

Benefits to industry

The project provided an avenue for industry consultation, consideration and input into the priority areas of ISC Digital Value Chain and Information Program, and enabled areas of investment to be pioritised.

MLA action

Future projects across the Digital Value Chain and Information Program have been implemented in accordance with this project's discoveries.
