Summary

To build the industry's capability to effectively communicate with the community, MLA with support from AgCommunicators will conduct a series of training workshops for industry representatives. These representatives will become 'ambassadors for the red meat industry' to engage and raise the community's general knowledge of the industry, with the aim of improving perceptions and trust in the red meat and livestock industry.

Objectives

The key objectives of this project are the coordination and delivery of the MLA Ambassadors for the Red Meat Industry (ARMI) program. Activities include:
1. Identify and train a cohort of new red meat industry representatives, including grassroots producers and others across the supply chain, through a series of industry workshops. Assess their skills and talents and identify the best channels for advocates to be active, working with MLA.
2. Engage and support the Ambassadors after completion of the training program with a targeted offering of services which encourage their activity and outreach to their networks and the Australian community.
