Summary

MLA project that engaged the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia to develop a suite of F-10 school resources aligned to national curriculums v8.4 and v9.0 that meet cross-curricular learning outcomes and incorporate Sustainability themes and topics as a curriculum priority area.

The suite includes Lesson Overviews, Lesson Plans, Student Activities and Worksheets, Student Online Learning Tasks, teacher support videos, and supplementary classroom materials of posters and paddock to plate card games. Additionally, the resources are designed for print and online use.

A separate piece of work will be undertaken to enhance the Australian Good Meat website with an increased focus on MLA communications around its school education program activities, and to develop a user-friendly search filter to access the resources and supplementary classroom materials.

Objectives

To provide educators with school education materials that are current, free and accessible to increase student knowledge about the Australian red meat and livestock industry.
