Summary

The final report from this project identified a range of China's market and consumer insights relating to premium red meat purchasing priorities and country-of-origin perceptions that not only informed the China localisation and expression of Aussie Beef and Lamb positioning, but were also leveraged in the 2023 update of the China Red Meat Growth Drivers which have recently been uploaded to the Aussie Meat Trade Hub for stakeholders to access.

Objectives

To identify China premium red meat market and consumer insights to guide Australia's MLA's China market strategy and activities (eg. Aussie Beef and Lamb positioning and articulation in China) for maximum appeal to consumers as well as differentiation from competitors.
