This was designed to be managed through the provision of new data capture and storage methods and advanced data analytics to generate new insights for the business.

• recruitment and lines of reporting to enhance practice change
• networks delivering benefits by accelerating uptake of new methods.

Benefits to industry

Dashboards are currently being used by the business daily to make decisions. By all reports, all senior managers including General Managers, across properties, feedlots and processing have been impressed with the information available and the requests for additional reports and information are growing.

MLA action

MLA supporting the harmonisation of the Data lab roles to achieve end to end connectivity. At this time a major communications initiative will commence highlighting steps taken and lessons learnt across farm/feedlot, factory and marketing.

Future research

ACC has a proposed broader vision of developing internal end to end supply chain capability (i.e. data lab). The primary focus of the proposed next phase will be the reviewing and evaluating options to integrate their current data capture and analytical capabilities aligned with their data transfer needs. ACC is in the process of linking all their disparate systems together to enable them to have improved real time reporting systems to make better informed business management decisions.
