Summary

The Livestock Export Program (LEP) research and development (R&D) program is part of the broader MLA/LiveCorp joint LEP which also includes communication, issues management, trade development and market access activities. A review of the R&D program in 2017 recommended that an independent technical member be appointed to the Livestock Export R&D Advisory Committee to add rigour to the project selection, design and monitoring process. This project funded expenses associated with this appointment for three years to June 2020.
