Summary

The program recognises an industry member who is/was a leader in their field and who has made a significant contribution to their community through exemplary work throughout their career. To the development of the cattle industry in Indonesia, including the ESCAS implementation, animal welfare improvement, productivity, profitability, and industry sustainability. LEP working closely with exporters, importers, supply chains, and local government, acknowledge the hard work and are keen to appreciate the supply chain achievement through the 2020 Supply Chain Award program.

Objectives

• Provide reward and recognition to those who have a significant contribution to the ESCAS implementation and development of the cattle industry in Indonesia.
• Increase awareness of the positive outcomes from the ESCAS regulatory framework in importing countries.
• Nurture relationship between industry in Indonesia and Australia, by appreciating and recognising each other’s contribution and hard work.

Key findings

Ir. Didiek Purwanto, IPU is the Supply Chain 2020 Award winner.

Benefits to industry

Reward and recognition for industry personnel who excel their peers and have excellent performance in improving and developing the Australia-Indonesia cattle industry and animal welfare standards.

MLA action

The awards were presented during the 2020 virtual conference of LEP EXPO.
