V.ISC.2134 - Australian AgriFood Data Exchange - Evaluation Team Chairperson

The Australian AgriFood Data Exchange (AAFDX) is an initiative designed and overseen by the agrifood industry to enable participants to share, discover, merge and re-use data from disparate systems in a secure cloud environment.

Summary

This project will provide services as chairperson for the Evaluation Team assessing the RFI responses for the 'experiments' phase of the Australian AgriFood Data Exchange project. The Evaluation Team will review tender submissions for the four experiments during phase 2 and identify the best candidates for endorsement by the Steering Committee.

Objectives

The objective of the Evaluation Team chairperson is to:
- ensure independent and objective review of tender submissions
- lead the evaluation group to ensure all members have a voice
- chair meetings of the evaluation committee.

Key findings

The evaluation team chairperson achieved all objectives outlined in the project plan.

Benefits to industry

The AAFDX will allow Agrifood industry data owners control over what data they would like to share and with whom. This will unlock potential opportunities with their data and enable collaboration across the supply chain.

MLA action

MLA has played the lead role in coordinating the co-investment funds and IP management for the project supporters of the AAFDX.

Future research

There will be no further research in this area in the near future.
