Summary

The world first Sheep Sustainability Framework (SSF) was launched in April 2021. In today’s commercial environment, demonstration of sustainable production of sheepmeat and wool is critical to secure access to our domestic market, global markets and capital investment.

The SSF identifies critical sustainability issues for the Australian sheep industry, defines key priorities on which to focus, and tracks progress over time via appropriate indicators and robust, defensible metrics.

This project sought to develop and deliver a clearly articulated strategic plan to set the direction, priorities and activities to support the focus areas objectives of the Sheep Sustainability Framework for the F23-F25 period.

Objectives

The objective of this project was to develop and deliver a clearly articulated strategic plan to set the direction, priorities and activities to support the focus area's objectives of the Sheep Sustainability Framework for the F23-F25 period. Alongside this will be a series of 12-month implementation plans to achieve the strategic objectives.
