Summary

Project was terminated due to COVID. The project idea was that the Student Horizons Experiential Careers Program delivers an immersive life experience careers program aiming to broaden career considerations for Year 10 students. Consisting of 2-3 programs over the calendar year with each program featuring an online learning module, an industry day and a multi-day field trip. MLA participation is aligned as an industry employer partner allowing MLA to participate in each of the programs to promote career pathways as well as support Student Horizons with program promotional activity through existing MLA channels. Unfortunately due to the ongoing implications of Covid-19 the program was cancelled and the sponsorship agreement terminated.

Objectives

To support year 10 students with skills development, along with education about the Australian red meat and livestock industry and a consideration of the industry as a future career pathway. Due to COVID the project did not proceed.
