Summary

Improve industry efficiencies, capabilities and livestock performance through the supply chain. Ongoing improvements in skills and capacity of the supply-chain workforce such as increasing exporter capability to comply with industry regulatory requirements. Improved exporter productivity and performance through the supply chain to improve regulatory framework and industry management systems and increase industry capacity to meet standards and guidelines.

Objectives

Market access – in support of this key Red Meat 2030 priority,
LiveCorp’s Industry Capability Program engages with industry and the department to respond on issues management and the development of health certification with the aim of increasing market access for exporters and producers, through maintaining/improving existing market access as well as developing new market opportunities. Outcomes for 2020–21:
-market access with Saudi Arabia following development of new health arrangements with the department
- Japan feeder cattle health testing conditions resolved/new health protocol progressed
- China breeder sheep and goat protocol; and Philippines breeder cattle protocol.
