Benefits to industry

Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) is MLA’s flagship adoption program drives measurable, improved business performance outcomes for participating red-meat producers.

The proposed adoption program takes a long-term strategic approach to achieving industry adoption and seeks to be financially sustainable, using a small-group supported learning (coaching) process. The process ensures that the focus remains on improving profit by developing producer skills which leads to practice change and whole farm business improvement. The program will offer commercial value to producers and service providers, however lack of market readiness, particularly in the service provider sector, for a commercial approach requires a long-term industry transition period (10 years) to achieve full industry benefits.
