Summary

Tasting Australia is Adelaide's premiere eating and drinking festival owned and operated by the South Australian Tourism Commission. MLA, under Australian Good Meat brand, will be the Presenting Partner for the ‘One Plate Dinner’ in which red meat was the hero dish, plus MLA held two butchery masterclasses in Town Square during the festival. The event was postponed due to COVID however, did eventually proceed in 2022.

Objectives

Utilise the sponsorship benefits to build awareness of Australian Good Meat and its aligned messaging as a mechanism to build community trust in the red meat and livestock industry.

Key findings

Sponsorship of community events can be costly and sometimes hard to gain cut through of key messages.

Benefits to industry

Promotion of the industry's positive production practices to increase positive consumer sentiment and trust in the red meat and livestock industry.

MLA action

Sponsorship of community events was put on hold during covid, and future of community sponsorship likely to target in on key events where MLA has more direct control over the delivery of key messages.
