Summary
This project resourced the industry consultation associated with the investment call.
This Company Managed Agreement (CMA) funded Regional consultation investment call costs for 2020-21, including:
- Red Meat Panel expenses expert panel chair and members sitting fees and expenses
- Southern Producer Panel sitting fees and expenses
- Western Producer Panel sitting fees and expenses.
- Investment priorities identified through regional consultation framework were developed into Terms of reference and the 2019-20 investment call was conducted.
- Producer panels, technical expert panel and red meat panel reviewed and made recommendations to the MLA board on projects for funding.
Objectives
This CMA covered the 2020-21 MLA expenses for Consultation Strategy implementation and project management costs. This includes travel, workshops and any other associated expenses. It will cover MLA consultation team expenses, including travel; and MLA covered dinners for Red Meat Panel, Expert Panel, Producer Panels and regional committee meetings.

Regional consultation is important to the Australian red meat industry, as it identifies the investment call priorities for future Research, Development & Adoption (RD&A) investments.
