Summary

The consultant provides system support in relation to the myMSA website for MLA staff and system vendors.

Objectives

Technical support for MSA personnel in the utilisation of the MyMSA system.
- Technical support for system vendors post adoption of the MyMSA system.
- Technical support for processors in the utilisation of the MyMSA system.
- Ensuring data is correct throughout the system.
- Housekeeping activities for the MyMSA system at a data and systems level.
- Updates as needed to the system.

Benefits to industry

The myMSA system allows processors, brand owners, producers and lot feeders to utilise the MSA grading data collected and assess their system in order to validate any production changes which aim to optimise eating quality. It also allows processors to facilitate the sorting of carcases of like eating quality, calculates the MSA Index and makes it available.

Future research

The consultant will continue to be contracted to provide MSA system support.
