Summary

In 2018, MLA commissioned a project (B.AWW.2061) to assess the supply and demand characteristics of pregnancy testing services across Australia, investigate the capacity to respond to gaps identified and determine the need for ongoing work in the area.

Findings from that project, "Developing a National Standard for Pregnancy Testing", determined that there are no apparent shortcomings in the supply of pregnancy testing services in either the feedlot or the live export sectors.

This current project entailed the scientific editing and partial re-drafting of the final report for project B.AWW.0261. This work helped to ensure the highest quality outcome for that project.

Benefits to industry

Effective extension of high-quality R&D information to stakeholders is a key priority of MLA. This project helped to benefit industry by ensuring that the outcomes of the B.AWW.0261 project were appropriately communicated to stakeholders.
