Virtual Excursions. Term 3 2017
Kimberlin will run a total of 8 virtual excursions for term 3. The Virtual Excursions are hosted by a school teacher and one of MLA's producer advocates allowing classrooms nationwide to tune into a video conferencing centre and engage with the Aussie Farmers, while taking part in educational activities, quizzes and even interacting with other schools.

Summary
Kimberlin will run a total of 8 virtual excursions for term 3. The Virtual Excursions are hosted by a school teacher and one of MLA's producer advocates allowing classrooms nationwide to tune into a video conferencing centre and engage with the Aussie Farmers, while taking part in educational activities, quizzes and even interacting with other schools. Virtual Excursion classes are especially formulated for Years Foundation to Year 6 are aligned to the Australian Science Curriculum and offer links to literacy, history and sustainability. Key topics include; ·,,Looking after living things on farms: What animals need to survive and what farmers do to provide animals with these needs. ·,,Life cycles: Learning about the different stages of animals’ lives and specifically the animals on each of the farmers’ farms. ·,,How climate affects the animals kept on farms: Looking at the different climates in Australia, in particular the type of climate of where the farmer is from. Science and Technology to deliver more sustainable farming: Exploring the types of technology and modern day equipment used on farms and how this leads to sustainable and efficient practices.
