Summary
This project involved the re-contracting of an external consultant – responsible to the MLA Program Manager for Research Development & Innovation: Grass-fed Beef – to support projects within the Grass-fed Beef program area.
The consultant provided advice on future areas of work relevant to the Australian beef industry and represented program area staff as required at MLA approved activities. Key tasks/activities included:Evaluation of R&D and PDS projects/ areas of interest within the guidelines provided under the consultative framework and/or the MLA program manager.Provision, review and comment on project milestone and final reports to ensure MLA requirements of technical and editorial quality are met.
Provision of on-going review of the validity of the projects and advised MLA from time to time on other issues.
Liaison with beef producers, R&D providers and other stakeholders as required by MLA.
The Consultant also supported the On Farm Innovation and Adoption Grass fed beef R&D project manager with the review of project milestone and final reports as well as communication of results from the program.
