Summary
The ABS subscription provides MLA with the entire export, import and clearances files, at the most detailed level of the commodity classifications. This includes Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), Broad Economic Categories Classification (BEC) and Australian and New Zealand Standard Industry Classification (ANZSIC) for quantity and dollar value of live exports by country, state, overseas and Australian ports. This data is used by MLA market analysts to monitor and report on exports of Australian livestock.
This market data is also supplemented by other sources to assist with modelling meat movements as required.
