Summary

​Cost of Production (CoP) is an important key performance indicator for producers in the business of producing lamb, beef or goat. CoP provides an indicator of business health, and compared to average sale price shows the likelihood of being able to meet overhead costs, interest expenses and taxation liabilities. This project reviewed and updated MLA's CoP workshop materials to be relevant to sheep, beef and goat producers, including integration of the updated online CoP tools and conducted train the trainer workshops upskilling 30 service providers.
