Summary

This program draws together those producers who are identified as having the potential and the interest in taking on leadership or advocacy roles within the industry (often that MLA has awarded leadership scholarships to in previous years).  Workshops cover topics such as MLA’s consumer sentiment research, communication skills, media training, marketing and community engagement. Participants are then used by MLA as social media campaigners, media spokespeople, educators (through MLA’s school education program) and advocates in MLA’s support of community and food events such as the Taste festivals in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Workshops have been held in MLA's North Sydney office with over 30 red meat producers in attendance with follow up events in Hahndorf (SA) and Broome (WA).

MLA has utalised the services of these advocates on at least 30 occasions including educational VC's and food events.
