Summary
Vietnam is a relatively new and rapidly emerging market. This market uses penetrative stunning and thoracic stick during slaughter. This method is different to that used in other markets such as Indonesia therefore the slaughter training modules developed previously are not relevant to the Vietnam market. This project has produced an instructional DVD which can be used as an aid in training and slaughter of Australia cattle in the Vietnamese market in line with ESCAS requirements. Two short colour stories promoting the Vietnamese market and the importance of Australian beef have also been produced.
