Summary

During 2015 the Sheepmeat Council of Australia (SCA) was developing a Sheepmeat Industry Strategic Plan (SISP) to provide a vision for the sheep industry for 2015-2020 and support the continued growth of the industry. This plan will articulate industry priorities to guide levy investments over the next five years. This project funded modelling work to establish levels of industry pay-off from various investments that might be made in industry programs which informed the plan's development. The Centre for International Economics (CIE) had already undertaken extensive modelling in this area as part of work undertaken for the Meat Industry Strategic Plan (MISP). This project built on the work completed for MISP and provide information at the more detailed sheep sector level. The final SISP can be found here: http://www.sheepmeatcouncil.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/SISP2020-LOWRES.pdf
