Summary

Given the increase in MSA product availability within the domestic market, an enhanced e-learning package for wholesalers, retailers and foodservice businesses that use MSA product or wish to learn more about eating quality was developed in 2014 and released in February 2015.
'MSA:excellence in eating quality' was designed using adult learning principles to put MSA requirements and information for this target group into a practical context by the user following the story of a butcher and chef using MSA in their business.
The program intends to make sure users are completely aware of the requirements of being a MSA licensee through 'pop quizzes' and a comprehensive knowledge quiz at the end. Quiz questions have been designed following review of end user audit outcomes to address common observations. The program has undergone both internal and external quality testing to ensure relevance and useability.
As such, this program will cover the requirements of:Becoming a new licensee wishing to use the MSA trade mark in a businessAdding trainees to a current licensed outlet (to provide staff within a licensed business the opportunity to learn about MSA)Providing the opportunity to end users who actively want to engage and learn more about MSA and the eating quality benefits it has for their business without necessarily becoming licensed.
