Summary
A Producer Demonstration Site (PDS) program was initiated in southern Australia with the objectives of:• delivering a program to industry that functions as the primary participatory learning program to underpin and link MLA’s extension activities and tools;
• initiating a program that validates and monitors the commercial application and adaptation of tools and technology.
The purpose of this project was to deliver support capacity to assist with the efficient development and delivery of the Goat PDS program. The advisor has assisted with the delivery of PDS project B.GOA.0092: PDS Boer Select – Buck Evaluation Program (due to conclude in April 2015) as well as working to establish a number of other PDSs across the country. The project ran from March 2012 – June 2014.
