The students who will join the tour are final year graduates selected based on their academic performance and participation in the Intercollegiate Meat Judging Competition.  It is expected that students will contribute to their own costs.
Indonesia was selected because of its importance to Australia for trade and security. The aim is to provide knowledge of production systems in developing countries.
The trips will be for at least 10 full days in Indonesia.
2.   The tour will start in Jakarta and with MLA contacts, visit live export, feedlot and slaughter facilities to follow Australian cattle.  All students are committed to our livestock industry and the outcome will be graduates who will be advocates for Australia’s livestock industry as well as being inspired to work to improve livelihoods of rural people and animal welfare
