Summary
India - development of export market opportunities
Altios International (based in India) was engaged by MLA to provide industry with a local representative in New Delhi. The role of Altios was to assist with in-market implementation of a joint industry / government market access strategy for Australian sheepmeat products in the Indian market.
Successful access was subsequently gained for Australian sheepmeat and goatmeat and offal products.
Additionally, MLA commissioned Altios to undertake a research project (early 2013 and 2014) to compile information on the impact of Indian buffalo production and exports on the world beef market.
A report was subsequently disseminated to industry.
