Phosphorus and non-protein nitrogen DSS: feasibility assessment and technical specifications

Summary

The feasibility of producing a decision support tool for estimating the economic cost-benefits of non-protein nitrogen (NPN) and phosphorus (P) supplementation options for beef herds in northern Australia was evaluated.   If deemed feasible, a proposal was to be developed for building a decision tool to the stage of a working prototype.  However, the project team concluded that there was inadequate data for such a decision support tool, and this would result in too much extrapolation and too many assumptions.
