Summary
These projects produced a DVD that addressed management of heat load in feedlot cattle. It contained all the information necessary to assist feedlot operators to undertake the heat load risk assessment and develop a heat load management and action plan for their site, addressing a mandatory requirement of the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme. The initial version of the DVD was distributed to all accredited feedlots across Australia during the latter part of 2007, to assist them in addressing the new requirements. A second, updated version of the DVD was distributed in late 2009.
