Summary
SheepGenomics was a $30M investment in biological technologies for the Australian and New Zealand sheep industries, that was established and managed by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), and is being delivered through eleven independent research organisations. After some delays during the ramp up phase, the program of research was to be be completed by September 2008, and final reports and reconciliations completed by December 31st 2008. Before proceeding to development of a second phase, MLA and AWI wanted to receive advice on appropriate structures and procedures for their jointly managed SheepGenomics program.
