Summary

To comprehensively assess the feasibility of MLA creating, developing and delivering a 2020 Vision Study for the Australian red meat industry. To train key MLA staff on key aspects of scenario analysis so that they can significantly contribute to the construction and prosecution of a 2020 Vision Study. Specified deliverables for the Feasibility Study were:
​​To prepare a report (with detailed plan) and make a presentation to the MLA Board on the feasibility of the 2020 Scenario Study. The presentation validated why 2020 scenarios will provide significant added value to the strategic conversations inside MLA and the industry generally.
Tutoring an MLA management team on the fundamentals of scenario planning through formal GFN training, case studies, and workshops.
Leading the MLA management team through a 'proof of concept' exercise on the 2020 Vision Study, preparing relevant papers and analyses, drawing on team expertise and securing input through a series of workshops so that the feasibility study is of high quality.
