Summary
Beefplan groups worked to identify and address the needs of their individual businesses. Each group followed a process designed to enhance their businesses through personal development and learning. The Beefplan program was undertaken with different groups over an eight-year period from 1998/99 to 2005/06. A review of the program found that it was high cost per producer, per hectare and per beast area compared to other extension programs. However, MLA's investment in BeefPlan had been effective on account of the returns it generated for participants.
