Project application guidelines and forms
Non-tender project applicants should carefully review this page and the MLA Project Funding Application Guidelines before completing their preliminary or detailed project application.
Applicants responding to a current MLA tender should first check the tender document which specifies MLA’s standard terms and conditions, as well as details of the relevant project information required from each applicant. These requirements may include the use of these application templates.
Detailed funding applications
Applicants seeking funding for research projects from MLA should use the detailed funding application.
If successful, the detailed project application will form the basis for MLA’s standard Statement of Work project contract.
Preliminary funding applications
In some circumstances, MLA may request applicants to submit a preliminary or abbreviated project application prior to a detailed funding application. This may be required in circumstances such as:
- An open call where many applicants apply by way of the preliminary project application, and only short listed applicants will need to proceed to a detailed application.
- Where the applicant is submitting an early project draft or proposal for initial feedback from MLA.
MLA will still require a detailed project application before approving funding and contracting the project.
