Tuesday daily sheep summary

Lamb consignments at Bendigo increased 37%, to 13,534 head, and the majority consisted of good quality new season lambs.
Sheep throughput was down 11%, to 4,592 head, with a large proportion of shorn crossbred and Merino ewes.
- New season light weight 2 score lambs were 42¢ lower on 586¢/kg cwt
- New season trade weight 3 score lambs declined 35¢ on 581¢/kg cwt
- New season heavy weight 3 score lambs eased 17¢ on 602¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino ewes fell 11¢ on 390¢/kg cwt
Lamb yardings at Dubbo lifted 46%, to 22,000 head. It was a fairly good quality offering, with new season lambs well-supplied, along with good numbers of old season trade and heavy weight lambs.
Sheep numbers more than doubled, to 5,150 head, and most grades were on offer.
- New season trade weight 3 score lambs were back 25¢ on 634¢/kg cwt
- New season heavy weight 4 score lambs eased 15¢ on 617¢/kg cwt
- Old season light weight 2 score Merino lambs lifted 22¢ on 599¢/kg cwt
- Old season trade weight 3 score lambs fell 25¢ on 587¢/kg cwt
- Old season heavy weight 4 score lambs slipped 10¢ on 603¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 4 score Merino ewes jumped 43¢ to 442¢/kg cwt
At the close of Monday’s markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator lifted 19¢, to 623¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs gained 5¢, on 557¢/kg cwt
- Light lambs were unchanged, on 596¢/kg cwt
- Trade lambs were down 3¢, on 600¢/kg cwt
- Heavy lambs were down 3¢, on 607¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator finished 1¢ dearer, on 408¢/kg cwt
