Tuesday daily sheep summary

Consignments of sheep and lambs lifted at Dubbo, to 31,200 head and there was once again a good supply of heavy weight lambs penned.
- Light weight 2 score Dorper lambs lifted 34¢ to average 547¢, while Merino lines were 33¢ cheaper on 491¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score lambs to slaughter eased 59¢ to average 511¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 4 score lambs to slaughter ranged in price from 477¢ to 548¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 2 score Merino ewes slipped 28¢ to average 293¢, while heavy weight 4 score Merino ewes eased 55¢ to settle on 311¢/kg cwt
Supply eased at Bendigo, with 14,497 head of sheep and lambs yarded. Quality was plainer, with most lambs lacking condition and this impacted price.
- Light weight 2 score lambs to restockers were 33¢ dearer on 544¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight first cross lambs were firm on 514¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score first cross lambs slipped 9¢ to average 495¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score lambs to slaughter were 3¢ cheaper on 509¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino ewes gained 16¢ to average 318¢, while heavy weight 3 scores lifted 35¢ to settle on 317¢/kg cwt
At the close of Monday’s markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator gained 8¢ to 562¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs slipped 5¢ to 482¢/kg cwt
- Light lambs lost 1¢ to 528¢/kg cwt
- Trade lambs were back 7¢, at 527¢/kg cwt
- Heavy lambs declined 4¢ to 525¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator was 4¢ cheaper on 308¢/kg cwt
