WA weekly cattle summary

Supplies ease
WA cattle supply dropped 6%week-on-week, totalling 4,484 head, as Boyanup continued its large yardings, increasing to 930 head.
- Muchea consignments dipped 13%, at 2,350 head
- Mt Barker supply fell 5%, to 1,204 head.
Prices trend lower
Medium weight C3 vealer steers to feed averaged 336¢, while C2 vealer heifers to feed fell 18¢ to average 283¢/kg.
Light weight C2 yearling steers to feed were 3¢ cheaper on 317¢, while Medium weight C2 lines to feed were 3¢ dearer on 300¢/kg. Light weight pastoral C2 yearling heifers average 185¢/kg.
The WYCI is back 82¢ week-on-week to 492¢/kg cwt.
Medium weight C3 grown steers to feed eased 8¢, to average 282¢/kg.
Light weight E2 pastoral cows averaged 129¢, while heavy weight D3 lines dropped 14¢ to 186¢/kg.
